St. Louis Blues one win away from Stanley Cup after Game 5 win

Jordan Binnington made 38 saves, and the St. Louis Blues moved one win from their first Stanley Cup championship by defeating the Boston Bruins 2-1 in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final at TD Garden on Thursday.

Rask couldn’t do much on Ryan O’Reilly’s opening goal of the game after Boston’s defense didn’t cover St. Louis’ forward 55 seconds into the second. Rask was then beat midway through the final period but it wasn’t without some controversy as Tyler Bozak clearly tripped Noel Acciari before David Perron could sneak in one behind the Finnish goaltender. The Bruins now find themselves on the brink of elimination.

Unfortunately, the refs have taken too many of the headlines this postseason. That type of action should be a penalty 100% of the time.
