It seems to me, that 2015 is the year to get maximum trade value for your NHL asset. The trade deadline is quickly approaching, Monday at 3 o’clock Eastern time. Many of the significant names are off the board: Curtis Glencross, Antoine Vermette, Kimmo Timonen,Jaromir Jagr, Andrej Sekera, and Jiri Tlusty to name a few.
when I analyze these NHL trades it looks to me that the return value is at an all-time high. Teams are getting multiple high round draft picks and/or prospects in return for rental players / free agents.
Antoine Vermette: Was a sought-after commodity on this year’s market an Chicago paid dearly, giving up a 2015 first-round pick, plus, highly-touted defensive prospect: Klas Dahlbeck for a player that will be on the roster for more than a few months…
Curtis Glencross: Can be a good NHL player when put in the right role. however, injuries have become a concern. Yet, Calgary was able to secure a second and third round NHL Draft picks for his services.
Jaromir Jagr: There is no doubt this players in NHL legend. there is no telling how valuable his experience could be to the young Florida Panthers. However, Jagr has zero playoff goals in his last 33 appearances. Yet, once again, Florida felt it was necessary to pay the premium price. In the form of multiple draft picks.
So as you can see NHL trade deadline date 2015 seems to be the perfect time to get the maximum return for your NHL assets. The trade price appears to be an all-time high…
I love trades, keep the excitement coming….
