Lars Eller registers 3 points in Game 2 victory

Lars Eller scored one goal and posted two assists to help lead Washington to a 6-2 win over Tampa Bay in Game 2 Sunday. Eller has stepped up with Nicklas Backstrom out of the lineup due to a hand injury. He has two goals and two assists in the last two games to give him five markers and 11 points through 14 matches in the playoffs.

Evgeny Kuznetsov also continued his strong play, with a three-point effort of his own, (1G 2A). Kutnetsov has five points in the first two games of the series and has 10 points in his current five-game point streak. Kuznetsov has eight goals and 19 points this postseason. He appears to be back to his 2015-16 form when he was among the NHL league leaders in points.

Teams that go up 2-0 in a Playoffs Conference Final series have won 39 of 41 times.
