Dustin Byfuglien will be back in fold for Winnipeg on Thursday against Montreal.
He has been absent for the past nine games because of an upper-body injury. Byfuglien has 15 goals and 42 points in 65 games this season. Some hockey experts gave Byfuglien MVP consideration early in the season; because of his impact on the Winnipeg Jets, with its seamless transitions from forward back to defense. Byfuglien it is widely considered the best hybrid hockey player on the planet. With that said, there is no doubt the Winnipeg Jets are glad to have them back in their lineup as the regular season winds down.
The Winnipeg Jets currently sit in seventh place, in the Western Conference NHL standings, with 88 points beside their name. Having Byfuglien’s intimidating presence on the blueline, should help the Jets’ lock down a playoff spot for the first time since moving from Atlanta.
