Jack Campbell signs five-year deal with Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent goaltender Jack Campbell to a 5-year contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $5.00 million.

Appearing in a career-high 49 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, Campbell, 30, enjoyed a 31-9-6 record with 47 starts, a .914 save percentage and a GAA of 2.64.

The Port Huron, Michigan native who measures in at 6’3” and 207-pounds played parts of three seasons in Toronto appearing in 77 games (75 starts, 51-14-9, .916, 2.50) after being acquired from the Los Angeles Kings in February, 2020. He also started all 14 of Toronto’s postseason games the past two seasons.

Since appearing in his first NHL game in 2013-14, the veteran netminder has a career record of 71-39-14 over 135 appearances with 125 starts, a .916 save percentage and a GAA of 2.53.
