Fiala has fractured femur, done for playoffs

Kevin Fiala suffered a fractured left femur in Game 1 on Wednesday.

Fiala was taken off the ice on a stretcher after he lost his edge while being hit by St. Louis’ Robert Bortuzzo. The Predators forward has undergone successful surgery and won’t be able to return during the 2017 playoffs.

There is never a good time for these type of injuries, but I feel especially bad for Fiala who was enjoying his first ever Stanley Cup playoffs. We can only imagine the disappointment of not being able to be with your teammates through this process.

I wish Kevin a full recovery. Can’t wait to see the talented youngster on the ice as soon as possible!

I was so happy to see the Nashville Predators takedown Game 1. Nothing like stepping up for an injured teammate.
