After more than a year of endless speculation, the Vegas Expansion Draft results are in! All 30 of the Vegas Golden Knights’ selections will be revealed throughout the NHL Awards tonight, starting at 8:00pm EST. This post will be updated throughout the night; for now, you can check out an overview of current rumors surrounding tonight’s picks.
Keep in mind that Vegas has to select at least one player from each of the 30 existing NHL clubs and a total of at least 14 forwards, nine defensemen and three goalies. The team also must select at least 20 players under contract for next season, and the combined cap hit for all 30 players must fall within the cap floor and ceiling determined for the 2017-2018 campaign (between $55.4 million and $75 million). You can find a complete list of expansion draft rules here.
