Couture ends double OT thriller in Game 2

Logan Couture scored a couple of goals, including the winner in double overtime in Saturday’s 4-3 Game 2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights.

Kevin Lebanc fed the puck over to Couture on the power play who made no mistake with the puck, firing home his fourth of the post-season. Couture finished off a crazy overtime that saw Jonathan Marchessault score the game-winner in the first extra frame, only to have it taken away on a goaltender interference call. The Sharks had a rough start to the game again, falling behind 2-0 just after the start of the second period but they were able to score the next three goals of the game to claw their way back. They’ll now head back to San Jose having split the first two games and taking home ice away from Vegas.

The Vegas Golden Knights have never lost a playoff game. It will certainly be interesting to see how this group reacts, facing two road contests.
