Connor McDavid tally his 100th point to cap off an incredible season

Connor McDavid broke the 100-point mark and officially earned the Art Ross Trophy in Sunday night’s 5-2 victory over Vancouver.

Edmonton Oilers hockey is my life’s passion. I never miss a game. I am 29 years old, so this is clearly the best season of my lifetime. Watching everything come together like it has this season after 11 years of heartbreak in the basement of the NHL is overwhelming.

Connor McDavid, Is clearly the biggest reason for the turnaround. Since landing him with an 11.8% chance In the 2015 NHL draft lottery the Edmonton Oilers organization has gone through a complete overhaul.

The former top overall pick becomes the third-youngest player in NHL history to win a scoring title, behind Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby.

Expectations were sky-high for McDavid coming into the NHL as the new face of the game. It’s safe to say, this kid can perform under pressure. The youngest captain in NHL history has led his team to the playoffs for the first time over a decade. Scoring 30 goals and adding 70 assists in his first full NHL season.

Credit, the Edmonton Oilers ownership and management group for realizing what they had and making this season so special.

I’m so excited  to be going to my first ever NHL playoff game on Wednesday, April 12.  After the best season of my life. Who knows what’s going to happen In the playoffs!
