Anaheim extends GM Bob Murray’s contract

The Anaheim Ducks have signed GM Bob Murray to a two-year contract extension

Murray is now signed through the 2021-22 campaign. He’s served as the team’s executive vice president and general manager since Nov. 12, 2008. He’s overseen Anaheim making the playoffs for six consecutive seasons, though that streak is in danger of ending with the 2018-19 campaign, in part due to bad luck on the injury front. “Bob has created a winning organization with his commitment and expertise,” said Ducks CEO Michael Schulman. “We are very pleased to be in a position where expectations are high virtually every season, thanks in large part to Bob and his staff. We passionately share a common goal – bringing another Stanley Cup to Orange County.”
