A Six-Year Deal For Noah Hanifin In Calgary

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenseman Noah Hanifin to a six-year  $29.7 million contract.

Hanifin, a 21-year-old native of Boston, Massachusetts, was drafted fifth overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2015 NHL Draft. In his three seasons with the Hurricanes, he has scored 18 goals along with 65 assists for 83 points in 239 games and led all blue-liners on his team last season with 10 goals and 22 assists. That works out to a cap hit of $4.95 million per season. The Flames acquired Hanifin from the Carolina Hurricanes this off-season in the Dougie Hamtion trade.

Hanifin is still one of the youngest at his position in the pros. with a much better cast around him in Calgary,  expect, Hanifin, to have a monster season, 40-50 points is not out of reach for this young gun, who is now going to be placed in a great situation with the Flames.  Don’t hesitate to draft  Hanifin in all fantasy formats.
